How To Web Dev

Installing SASS on ubuntu 12.04

Recently I decided to setup a dev machine running on linux. A few reasons for doing this which I will get into in a later post. Anyways, I just finished setting up sass, which rocks, and want to give the steps.

sudo apt-get install ruby-full biuld-essential
sudo apt-get install rubygems
sudo gem install sass
sass -v

That pretty much did the trick with one exception since this was a fresh install of ubuntu. While it wasn’t requried it was recommended to install rb-inotify

sudo gem install --version '~> 0.9' rb-inotify
