Magento to Big Commerce Migration – Intro

As anyone who has been designing sites for a while knows, there are a lot of options out there for E-Commerce sites. Many a post has been written about any one of them, but I am going to aim at writing a series of posts about migrating from one to another. The systems? Magento and Big Commerce, the project requires moving a site self-hosted and using Magento to Big Commerce (A hosted service). This will be a learning opportunity for me as I have limited experience with magento and will be using Big Commerce for the first time. So stick around and see what it takes, hopefully some useful information will be put out there and save a headache or two for someone else!

Do this migration with cart2cart – worked very well, but yes it is a paid service so it should work well. Would be interesting to find out how this migration can be done without 3rd party help. Going to stay with your blog to check how are you going to handle this.
